Pride of Texas was formed as a three piece Biker Blues (Original/Cover) band in the fall of 2003 to provide entertainment for charity events in the Dallas area. From those events came several private parties and medium sized public venues . When things slowed down, Tom and Dion and the former bass player hosted some open jams in the Mid Cities area. In July of 2006, we added Ressie Browning as Rhythm Guitarist and in December 07 Bass Player Tony Hornsby joined the band. We have recently added several Classic Rock, 70’s Hard Rock, and Early 80’s Metal songs to our cover song list.

There is a lot of really cool music out there, in every style. Our goal is to have a little something for everyone.

Pride of Texas is a party band that loves to “Open Jam” Check out our Booking page for information on having Pride of Texas host an open jam at your party, it’s a great gift for the aspiring musician in your life, if you can play the basic chords on a guitar, thump a little bass, or keep a beat, we can make you look like a star. Our gear or yours, electronic drums (great volume control for those pesky neighbors) or real. How much fun could that be?…
